100th Post!

Part of the reason that I love digital photography is all the editing that can be done. Don't get me wrong... there is something awesome about taking a picture that needs absolutely no work done to it... but I find that editing photo's adds that little extra something-something. Colors are my favorite to play with (I like to pretend I live in a Willy Wonka-esque world) but here is a black and white of me that I did a while ago to familiarize myself with my new software. "Have Camera; Will Take Self Portrait."

GottaHavaWaWa

I took my camera to work with me because I was planning on taking picture of campus Thursday morning... but someone called out and I asked to stay a couple of extra hours so I didn't get to go to campus. But, I had had my camera out early early in the morning to show Gene pictures of the motorbike and ended up taking a couple of pictures. Here are some pretzels.

Nekked Bike

That right there is a naked motorbike! Wes and Matt had to take all the plastic off to paint it (flat black!).

My Desk

This is my teeny-tiny, hidden-in-a-corner desk. I find is difficult to do work because I feel so closed in and cluttered (and oh my! do I hate clutter). Someday I'll have a legit desk...

It All Started Here

This was the beginning to my knee problems. That's me giving the *thumbs up* for a job well done.

Dye

New hair color! I wanted to go dark but not brown (I HATE brown hair) so I settled for Garnier 100% Color #562 Bright Auburn Brown. I like it so far (and it looks much better 'styled' than my last bed-head picture)! I think next time I go for a cut... I'll go even shorter... hehehehehehehehe

I hate killing trees

So... I'm noticing a new trend with teachers and their method of "teaching." I'm speaking mostly of my Stats for Science teacher... Everything he does is online. Homework, quizzes, tests and even notes. ALL online. So, in my seven semesters of college, I completed six of them before ever buying printer paper... it was a good run!

Good Eats

Dinner! Salmon steaks with lemon and rosemary, scallop's with lemon and butter, green beans with butter and almonds, spinach salad with apples and bleu cheese, clams steamed in wine and butter (not pictured!) and brie baked with pastry and raspberry jam for dessert. Do we know how to eat or what?!

Nuclear Power Plants and Bottomless Coffee

We took a road trip to Limerick, PA to see the steam towers of the nuke plant (unfortunately I didn't get a picture of them... I think you get investigated if anyone see's you taking pictures of the towers) but they were really neat to see. From there, we went into Pheonixville, PA to Steel City Coffee House. Wes did an open mic or two there a couple years back. They have bottomless coffee. It's awesome. Then we went back to Matt's place for steak, pad thai and wine. YUM!

Cheeeeeeeeese

Matt and Sam and I love brie. Wes is, of course, the only person in the world who doesn't. I'm working on him though.

Wine&Tattoo Night

Black Box wine, 2007 Pinot Grigio. On sale for $20.99 (a $3 savings). I bought it based on a recommendation from the magazine available at Wine & Spirits! *It went really well with my oriental grilled chicken salad with sesame seed dressing! YUM!*

New Do!!!

The new (MUCH shorter) do. The face is in no way a representation on how I feel about the cut. I had just woken up and was getting ready for work (which is why I have bed-head in the back). yay!

Introducing: Flight of the Conchords!

Wes and I have a slight addiction to Flight of the Conchords. We watched the first season for hours tonight... it's really not healthy I think!!! Too bad the second season is starting and we don't have HBO...

This is the front of the birthday card that Wesley got me... the inside continues with "You're funny when you dance." How appropriate!!! hahahahahahaha!!

01-09-09

It's my BIRTHDAY!!!!! YAY!!!!! I wanted to post this picture from when I was out and about taking photo's yesterday though. This is in Holicong Park right down the street from the Porterhouse. I stopped there on my way to hang out with Dan. I wish there was a better horizon because I really like the clouds and light... it just seems crowded at the bottom...

(Taken by me, tripod, "landscape" setting, 55mm, 1/250 shutter speed, ISO 110, slight color adjustments in editing program)

Wine&Tattoo Night

Luna Di Luna: Premium Pink Merlot (sorry for the bad picture). I was drinking Red Bull right before I had this... so as first taste it seemed to be a blush wine with a red kick... but half way through the glass, it became much sweeter. It also was not properly chilled when I opened but it is in my wine cooler now! Just waiting for tonight!

Art and Coffee

This is a crummy picture of the two paintings that Wes and I would like to get our hands on. Our first choice is the one on the left, the "nostril painting," and our second (well... my second) choice is the one on the right, the black and white painting (kind of difficult to make-out in this picture). Bother are sincerely awesome!!!! No word yet on how much the artist is going to ask for them yet...

Ooh La La You Majesty

Since I was by myself on Tuesday, I made sure to set up a date with the cutie pictured m'ere: Ben Barnes!! He plays Prince Caspian in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. He's your typical totally-hot-foreigner. Look for him as Dorian in Dorian Gray!!!!

Not Too Shabby!

Nighttime pictures! I had to do a bit of reading and research before I found out the technique for taking pictures like this... but really, it's not that difficult! This is the Washington House and Sellersville Theater. I just hope shrinking it down to fit on my blog doesn't destroy too much of the image quality :/

(Taken by me, tripod, ISO 200, shutter exposed for 30s)

I see a trend forming...

While we had only wine and beer on Saturday night at Nates house... I just love this bottle. It's a Van Gogh Double Espresso Vodka bottle (long since been empty) that Wesley waited for months to go on sale at Wine & Spirits. He's really into coffee flavored vodka... I'm not. But it is a unique bottle design!
(Taken by me, tripod, "Marco close up" setting, no flash.)

CA RAY ZEE

This scene took place on Thursday morning but I really felt that it needed to be posted because... these people are crazy. At noon on New Years day, all these people meet up and go run into the freezing cold Rhode Island ocean. Mind you, it was about 15 degree's but felt like 4 degree's because of the windchill. Matt and Matt were the only ones in the group that participated.

What a View!

This is the tiny snowman Wes and Matt made by Purgatory Chasm overlooking the ocean. It's a good thing he's a snow man... cuz it was cooooooooooooold up there.

Bringing in the New Year

Happy New Year!!!

We spent New Years at Matt's friends house. There was a lot of Wii, a lot of poker, and a lot of beer and wine.
